It's Krrishmas Time!

Last night when i went to watch Krrish, little did i know that i was going to be in for a rollocoaster ride. The movie blew me away by suprise. I had relatively high expectations from it, but i didn't expect it to be that good!

The movie had it all, from great songs and dances to an awesome storyline, 'fabatastic' acting, a twist and a memorable ending. I don't want to reveal much about the movie on my blog, just incase i end up spoiling it for someone. But all i have to say is Hrithik is back, let's celebrate!

Aside from the above, here are 5 reasons why you should watch Krrish:

1) A Hrithik movie after 2 years!

2) The Hrithik Roshan & Rakesh Roshan combo. RR has never let me down; right from Karan Arjun, Kaho Na Pyar Hai to Koi… Mil Gaya, and now Krrish

3) India’s first (movie) superhero!

4) The songs are brilliant

5) The heavy use of SFX in a Bollywood movie

The only downside i saw to the movie was the absence of Preity (although she does appear for one scene). The chemistry between Preity and Hrithik was something else. Priyanka tried to fill her boots, but the chemistry wasn't the saaaame. I'm sure you'll agree with me on that one - there's only one Preity after all (",). Okay, this is going off-topic now...

Last words from me... don't spoil the movie by watching it on pirate. Go watch it on the big screen, it's worth every penny, trust me!

Summer 2006 - Latest Gup Shup!

Exams over, time to breath, time to say do teen Bollywood ki baatein

Just a quick update on the latest happenings, since i can't be bothered to write in depth about every little thing, here is a breakdown of the latest gossip in Bollywood.

1. Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna music has released to a warm response. My response is also positive, it's what i expected from Shankhar Ehsan and Loy. The trailers are very impressive - two have been aired so far, the theatrical trailer and the title song trailer. (above pic courtesy of Naina)

2. We are drawing closer to the release of the much awaited sequel to Koi Mil Gaya... Krrish! Hitting the theatre's this friday!

3. Another Emran Hashmi movie has had it's music launch. We all know by now what this means - another charbuster song(s). Let me tell you before you hear it, 'Teri Yaadon Mein' is an absolute stunner!

4. Emran Hashmi, the 'serial kisser' has put an end to any future kissing scenes in his movies. Why? Because he's getting engaged/married.

Mein poochta hoon, larkay shaadi kay baad kyun sudharte hain? Pehle nahin sudhar sakte kya? Meri tarah *hehehe*

5. Omkara, which is a bollywood version of Shakespeare's Othello, starring Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Vivek Oberoi is looking like a really promising movie. Trailers are on air right now.

6. Vidya Balan - the Parineeta girl. Remember her? I do. Take my word, she is going to be the next big actress in Bollywood, up there with the best. There is something about Vidya - her simple yet beautiful, traditional looks and natural acting... this girl is going to go far. Some are comparing her to Madhuri... she is pure talent. And to add, Vidya's next movie is directed by Nikhil Advani, the Kal Ho Na Ho director, who's next movie is Salam-e-Ishq, a multi-starrer... more about this another time.

7. Madhuri is coming back! Sooon, because she has signed a film. Can't remember the director. I have sooo much respect for Madhuri. You know after her comeback performance at the filmfare awards, that blew all producers away, everyone has been approaching her with offers... but Madhuri has clearly laid down her conditions for acting in movies. She said that she will only sign a movie so long as the movie is shot in America (so she is close to her kids and husband at the same time) and that shooting be complete within 2 months (again, for family reasons, childrens education and upbringing). Respect. Family comes first.

And last but not least... the most thrilling news of all...

8. Bollywood's annual IIFA awards, held this year in Dubai are coming to Yorkshire next year! Yessssssss! Sheffield, Leeds, York and Bradford will be hosting the 2007 IIFA awards! Can you believe it!!! That means i'll be getting closer to Preity Zinta! I wishhhhhhhhh i meet her, otherwise i will be left singing...

Kya bebasi hai yeh, kya majboorian, hum paas hain phir bhi kitni hain dooriyan...
