After much speculation, the news has broke out across the world that Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have got engaged, just two days after the release of their movie Guru. The news has been officially confirmed by Amitabh Bachchan, speaking to TIMES NOW he says that Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai got engaged on Sunday evening. Aishwarya's secretary Hari Singh also confirms the engagement, speaking to Rediff.com, he says "The news is confirmed. Aishwarya and Abhishek have got engaged."

Rumours are the wedding bells are set to ring on 19th February 2007, but that is not yet confirmed.
